Distinctions Pathways Academy is a community development based Non-Profit Organisation NO: 295-817 which seeks to empower individuals and groups of people with the skills they need to effect change within their communities and we are based in 2274 Leseding Street at Former Nonchimudi Primary School at Mahwelereng of Limpopo Province in South Africa

We offer skills Development Programmes, Awareness Campaigns, Free Math’s & Science extra lessons, Learnership, Agricultural projects & Entrepreneurial Programme to unemployed community members for the purpose of empowering them to be successful participants of the economy.

Our Youth Incubator empowers young leaders with mentorship, resources, and a dynamic platform, inspiring innovation and leadership for a brighter future in entrepreneurship.

Through our agriculture program we romote economic equality for the youth through Agricultural Black Economic Empowerment (AgriBEE) and other programmes and Advocate for the youth’s equal participation and representation in decision making in the agriculture and rural development sector.

This unit standard will provide recognition for those who facilitate or intend to facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies. Formal recognition will enhance their employability and also provide a means to identify competent learning facilitators.

ASSESSOR SAQA ID:115753

This generic assessor unit standard is for those who assess people for their achievement of learning outcomes in terms of specified criteria using pre-designed assessment instruments.

MODERATOR SAQA ID: 115759

This unit standard is for people who conduct internal or external moderation of outcomes-based assessments. The assessments could be in terms of outcomes defined in a number of documents, including but not limited to unit standards, exit level outcomes, assessment standards, curriculum statements and qualifications.

First Aid Level 1

The level 1 first aid course is a basic first aid course, an introduction to emergency care, equipping learners with the skills to apply and perform basic first aid in emergencies. Delivered by registered health care professionals, learners will cover theoretical knowledge and have to perform practical skills competently, such as CPR and Choking. First Aid level 1 is the starting point to the three levels of first aid, and is usually the minimum requirement to be met by companies when being inspected by governing bodies such as the Department of Labour.

First AID Level 2

The level 2 first aid course is an intermediate first aid course, equipping learners with an extensive knowledge of emergency care and teaching a high standard of patient care. This programme covers more detailed subjects such as treatment of Paediatric patients and two rescuer CPR. It is designed to teach the learner to work logically, efficiently and effectively, to assess and manage an emergency by using systematic approaches to first aid.

First AID Level 3

The level 3 first aid course is an advanced first aid course, the highest first aid level that can be achieved. It is recommended that all workplace supervisors, people with hazardous occupations, and people without easy access to healthcare services attend training on level 3 first aid. The level 3 first aid course is ideal for team leaders of Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) or Medical Teams, First Responders (Firemen/ Police), Security Professionals (Armed Response/ CPOs), Life Guards, Teachers and Education professionals. Compared to level 2, the first aid level 3 course covers additional emergency care subjects such as emergency childbirth and water-related emergencies.

National certificate: Plant Production

This qualification will form the basis for learners to extend their learning into more specialised areas of plant production and provides the basis of the establishment of sustainable farming operations through the inclusion of a wide spectrum of competencies required by farmers. Whilst technical production orientated competencies are ensured, other aspects such as agri-business and good agricultural practices are included in the range of competencies required by farmers in order to enable them to strive towards agricultural management standards and practices at higher levels.

National Certificate: End User Computing

End User Computing is an essential skill in any business today and is required in order for businesses to meet local and global economic challenges and requirements of a digital world. Additionally, the End User Computing NQF Level 3 qualification is foundational and generic, which allows for maximum mobility between qualifications. Apart from the workplace needs the qualification will address, it is also designed as an entry-level qualification into most further education and training fields.

Distinction Pathways Organisation uses variety of instructional methods, educational services, or school resources provided to students in the effort to help them accelerate their learning progress, catch up with their peers, meet learning standards, or generally succeed in school.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

Distinctions Pathways' Awareness campaigns encompass actions that promote awareness in order to encourage individual and societal behavioural changes to address the issues such child abuse, mental health, GBV, HIV/AIDS, etc.

DISTINCTIONS PATHWAYS YOUTH VOLUNTEERS DO CONDUCT CLEANING ACTIVITIES WITH OUR COMMUNITY WHEREIN OUR SERVICES ARE REQUIRED AND OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL AND ILLEGAL DUMPING AREAS RECEIVED OUR SERVICES.
